Stacey Roberts

Stacey is our resident chaos cryptid and a laser engineer, who was first heard on air as a political correspondant with Shaggy in 2016. A true child of the islands, Stacey’s love for reggae was forged long before she was born. With Jamaican and Puerto Rican parents, the rhythm of the islands flows through her veins. She’s beyond thrilled to be sharing her philosophy of love and the soul of the sound with the Hawai’i Reggae Network ‘ohana.
When she’s not on the air, you can find her indulging in her enthusiasm for making pastries or getting lost in her large collection of CDs and vinyls that spans genres, time, and space. Hailing from New Jersey, her diverse background has shaped her musical taste.
As she puts it, “If the vibe is right and it touches your soul, it’s music.”
Shaggy Jenkins
Shaggy is Maui Reggae’s most recent radio steward, playing reggae on-air for the last seventeen (17) years, starting in 2007. He was doing Mornings as well as serving as Program Director of Maui’s first 24/7 Reggae Radio station, Q103. A walking Reggae encyclopedia, Shaggy shares his vast knowledge with listeners every day.
His love affair with Reggae started when he was in a punk band many moons ago. Shaggy has been in radio for over thirty (30) years, with some of those years spent in education and public outreach. Besides doing Mornings for us, he is also our resident tech genius (see studio story above). He also quarterbacks our website, app and streaming responsibilities. Shaggy lives with his wife and son in Pukalani on Maui.
His show focuses primarily on modern Reggae, like Cali Roots and the new Hawaiian sounds.

Jammin Jamico

Guy Amico is the original Maui Reggae DJ. He started playing Reggae on the air in 1981 and started the Reggae Show on KAOI-FM in 1983 and carried it on until his departure from Maui in 1993. We have him back delivering smooth Reggae sounds after a thirty (30) year + hiatus! He’s super excited to be back and loves sharing his favorite riddims with you. The man’s knowledge of Reggae spans over 45 years!
Guy started collecting records at age 5 (the beginning of his love of music) and started his DJ career in the 1970’s on College Radio and night clubs in the SoCal area. He began his on-air career in 1981 on Maui, playing Rock n’ Roll (and Reggae) until eventually launching Maui’s first ever Reggae Radio Show in 1983! Guy lives with his wife and their two dogs, on the Coast, in Ventura, California.
His show focuses primarily on Hawaiian Reggae, Cali Roots and Jamaican Classics.

A year later, he landed his first weekend shift and spent the next 14 years on-air across various stations, hosting shows in formats from Hawaiian and reggae to hip hop and adult contemporary. He spent time on night shows and an afternoon slot.
In 2014, Jase stepped away from radio to focus on his own business. Today, he’s a full-time professional emcee for weddings and events, and also manages A/V production. He continues to create weekly social media content and hosts a podcast as a creative outlet.
Chisa
From Kaua‘i to O‘ahu to Lahaina, and now holding it down on Moloka‘i … basically conquering the islands one zip code at a time, just like Kamehameha… but with better nails.
Mom of three, 20-year radio personality and proud owner of a nail salon where cuticles fear me and glitter bows to me.
When Chisa’s not beautifying the world one pedicure at a time, you can find her fishing, picking shells, or plotting which island to charm next
