Jase Takeya began his radio journey in 1999 as a high school intern in Hilo, Hawai‘i. A year later, he landed his first weekend shift and spent the next 14 years on-air across various stations, hosting shows in formats from Hawaiian and reggae to hip hop and adult contemporary. He spent time on night shows and an afternoon slot.

In 2014, Jase stepped away from radio to focus on his own business. Today, he’s a full-time professional emcee for weddings and events, and also manages A/V production. He continues to create weekly social media content and hosts a podcast as a creative outlet.
