Shaggy is Maui Reggae’s most recent radio steward, playing reggae on-air for the last seventeen (17) years, starting in 2007. He was doing Mornings as well as serving as Program Director of Maui’s first 24/7 Reggae Radio station, Q103. A walking Reggae encyclopedia, Shaggy shares his vast knowledge with listeners every day.

His love affair with Reggae started when he was in a punk band many moons ago. Shaggy has been in radio for over thirty (30) years, with some of those years spent in education and public outreach. Besides doing Mornings for us, he is also our resident tech genius (see studio story above). He also quarterbacks our website, app and streaming responsibilities. Shaggy lives with his wife and son in Pukalani on Maui.

His show focuses primarily on modern Reggae, like Cali Roots and the new Hawaiian sounds.
